<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding apparatus for automatically binding into a plurality of number of booklets from a sheet bundle formed with images in advance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Sheets are fed to an accumulation tray having a matching means from a sheet receiving port of a carrying-in path, and an adhesive layer is added to the aligned and accumulated sheet bundle by the accumulation tray for bookbinding. A sheet feeding unit is added to the sheet receiving port, and the sheet feeding unit is constituted of a plurality of bin trays stackingly storing sheets in an aligned state, a separatingly feeding means feeding the sheets stored in the plurality of bin trays to the sheet receiving port one by one, and a sheet feed end sensor detecting the completion of sending of all the sheets on the respective bin trays to the sheet receiving port. The aligned and accumulated sheet bundle is conveyed to an adhesive layer adding means by the accumulation tray based on the detection signals of the sheet feed end sensor.
