<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with an exclusive pedestal for performing main girder jacking-up operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A sole plate 27 is mounted to a required part of a full web part of main girders 4, 5, 6. A bearing body 26 is mounted onto a pedestal 22 disposed on an extended cross beam 14 below the sole plate 27, and nonshrinkage mortar 25 is filled in a filling material filling space part 28 formed between the upper face of an upper shoe 26a and the lower face of the sole plate 27 and hardened. A bearing apparatus 21 for replacement having a vertical dimension coinciding with a space between the extended cross beam 14 and the main girders 4, 5, 6 is thereby formed between the extended cross beam 14 and the main girders 4, 5, 6. The main girders 4, 5, 6 and the bearing apparatus 21 for replacement together with the pedestal 22 are jacked up by a jack 25 insert-arranged in the jack insertion part 24 of the pedestal 22, and the existing bearing apparatus 10 is removed. Jacking down is then performed to transmit and support the load of the main girders 4, 5, 6 to the extended cross beam 14 through the bearing apparatus 21 for replacement.
