<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of sagging of a screen, and to smoothly operate a pair of links. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing a light shielding device 10, a driving motor 14 is positionally adjustably fixed to a base member 12. Each of the pair of links 18 is positioned at an intermediate attitude between a storage attitude and a deployment attitude, and the driving motor 14 is positioned in relation to the base member 12. The driving motor 14 is positionally non-adjustably fixed to the base member 12 in a maintained state of the positioned state of the driving motor 14 in relation to the base member 12. By this method of manufacturing, a state in which the pair of links 18 are synchronously operated can be secured in both cases when the screen 22 is completely deployed from a winding mechanism 20 and when the screen 22 is wound by the winding mechanism 20.
