Provided is a cellular mobile communication system in which multiple base stations communicate with mobile stations. Each base station has an acquisition unit for acquiring information representing the wireless communication status of each base station with a specific mobile station, a judgment unit for judging the possibility of coordinated communication by each base station based on the information, and a decision unit for deciding on a communication method pertaining to the mobile station based on the result of said judgment.
