<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set suitable for use in a printing apparatus and a printing method capable of printing a high quality image. <P>SOLUTION: In the ink set for the printing apparatus for printing an image by forming a dot on a print medium with a plurality of types of ink, the ink set contains at least two types of colorless ink different in concentration of carbon black, and cyan ink, magenta ink and yellow ink. Further, the printing apparatus includes: a light gray dot formation means for forming a dot by light gray ink being ink with the lowest concentration among the colorless ink; and a various dots formation means for forming a dot by various types of ink except the light gray ink. In the printing apparatus, the light gray dot formation means forms a dot by the light gray ink in an area where the various dots formation means does not form any dot on the print medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
