<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, cytochrome p450 proteins having so far reported in Nicotiana are only few; and it has been demanded to identify p450 enzymes in plants and the nucleic acid sequences associated with the p450 enzymes. <P>SOLUTION: The p450 enzymes derived from Nicotiana, nucleic acid sequences each encoding the enzymes, and the respective amino acid sequences of the enzymes, are determined.
