<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a standard format data management server device for automatically checking whether or not the version of standard format data included in document data prepared on a PC is the latest version and transmitting a result to the PC. <P>SOLUTION: Prior to printing the prepared document data in an image forming apparatus 5, the PC 3 transmits version information of the standard format data included in the document data through a printer server device 4.
