PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device and an optically-coupled module which are suitable to efficiently form photoelectric wirings. SOLUTION: The light-emitting device includes a substrate 100, a light-emitting element 180 provided on the substrate, and a reflector 170 provide on the under surface of the substrate. The light-emitting element includes an active pattern arranged on the substrate, an upper mirror provided on the active pattern, and a lower mirror provided under the active pattern and can emit a light which is perpendicular to the substrate.
