PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and quickly evaluating shafting alignment taking an engine section into consideration in addition to deformation of a ship's hull in building a marine vessel. SOLUTION: The method for evaluating shafting alignment is performed by: obtaining data set of the height of an engine bearing and the height of an intermediate shaft bearing that can satisfy predetermined restricting conditions with the provision that a stern tube supporting a propeller shaft is horizontal and the installation condition of an engine is parallel with the stern tube for each of the restricting conditions; then displaying a total solution satisfying all of individual solutions as the data sets obtained for each of these restricting conditions by a graph on a two-dimensional plane; and then separately indicating a permissible deformation amount satisfying each of the restricting conditions when deformation of the ship's hull according to the draft depth of the ship's hull is imparted at a predetermined deformation interval on the graph with respect to the data set of the height of the engine bearing and the height of the intermediate shaft bearing that satisfies the total solution in the graph.
