PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable gear shift of greater number of gear stages than the number of gear rows without increasing axial length of a transmission. SOLUTION: This transmission includes a first input shaft 11 fixing drive gears G1a, G3a, a second input shaft 12 fixing the drive gear G2a, G4a, a first or a second clutch C1, C2 capable of transmitting power of a drive source to input shafts 11, 12, a first intermediate shaft 31 pivotally supporting driven gears G1b, G3b, a second intermediate shaft 32 pivotally supporting driven gears G2b, G4b, a first synchronized meshing mechanism SM1 selectively establishing a first or a second gear row G1, G3, a second synchronized meshing mechanism SM2 selectively establishing a second or fourth gear row G2, G4, a double pinion type planetary gear 5, and a third clutch C3 capable of freely connecting a ring gear Ri of the planetary gear 5 and a carrier Ca. The first intermediate shaft 31 is connected to the carrier Ca, the second intermediate shaft 32 is connected to the sun gear Sa, and an output gear 6 is connected to the ring gear Ri.
