<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for supplying iron into water, supplying soluble iron easily ingestible by aquatic plants such as marine alga and sea grass into the water for a long period, usable in general purpose applications by using a material available in a large amount at a low cost, and applicable to a wide water area such as a lake and a sea area. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for supplying iron into water includes setting in the water a mixture mixed with dredged soil containing steelmaking slag and fulvic acid, preferably the dredged soil having ≥0.002 mass% of fulvic acid. As a result of this, iron (bivalent iron) eluting from steelmaking slag, and fulvic acid contained in the dredged soil are bonded to produce fulvic acid iron, and the fulvic acid iron is supplied into the water for a long period.
