The invention relates to a multi-frame interconnection system and a frame connection method. The system comprises: at least three frames, and each of the frames includes a first switch network board and a second switch network board, wherein the first switch network board of the first frame is connected with the first switch network boards of other frames; and the second switch network board of the second frame is connected with the second switch network boards of other frames. The embodiments of the invention employ that the different switch network boards in the frames of the multi-frame interconnection system are respectively connected to different main frames so as to overcome the technical disadvantage of the multi-frame interconnection system in the prior art that the fault of the main frame causes that data can not be exchanged among other frames, so that normal data exchange can be executed among other frames when the fault occurs on the main frame in the multi-frame interconnection system.
