When selecting a program to be received and viewed, or recording a reception program, or reproducing a program to be recorded, or upon completion of each operation, a parent device creates view information containing a corresponding program name, a transmission station name, and a current operation mode name of the parent device and transmits the view information to a child device via a view information management server. When the option "to view the same program as the parent device" provided in the input means for selecting a broadcast program is selected, the child device receives/displays or receives/records the program having the same channel name as the one received/displayed or received/recorded by the parent device according to the latest view information with respect to the parent device received from the view information management server.
