TURBO DECODE METHOD AND SYSTEM IN AUTOMATIC REPEAT REQUEST

PURPOSE: A turbo decoding method at a system demanding automatic retransmission and a device thereof are provided to reduce redundancy re-transmission process by combining the redundancy information stored as the existing repeat decoding result with new received data at re-transmission request state of the parity data. CONSTITUTION: A kind matrix calculation unit(130) calculates saved data the branch metrics. By calculating the branch metrics the state metric, a state matrix calculation unit(140) accumulates the calculated state metric. By using the accumulated state metric, a LLR calculation unit(150) calculates the log likelihood ratio. A substitution unit(160) de-interleaves the log likelihood ratio. A redundancy information storage unit(170) stores the extrinsic information corresponding to the de-interleaved return value. A redundancy information extraction unit(180) extracts the value used among the saved extrinsic information in normalization. A normalization unit(190) normalizes the extracted extrinsic information.
