SYSTEM AND METHOD OF SEISMIC EXPLORATION USING HORIZONTAL BOREHOLE RECEIVERS AS VIRTUAL SOURCES

PURPOSE: A system and a method of underground exploration using horizontal borehole receivers as virtual sources are provided to explore underground structures under virtual sources more meticulously. CONSTITUTION: A first horizontal bore hole(VS) is prepared on the top of a region to be explored. A plurality of first receivers is arranged inside the first horizontal bore hole at a constant interval. A second horizontal bore hole is prepared on the lower part of the region to be explored. A plurality of second receivers is arranged inside the second horizontal bore hole at a constant interval.
