<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a chemical treatment cartridge capable of holding a magnetic particle surely. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for using a chemical treatment cartridge moves, by deformation by a force applied from the outside, a content between wells through a passage to connect a well and between the wells which is formed inside to perform chemical treatment. The method includes a step of flocculating magnetic particles 5 to capture biological macromolecules near the well 11 or the side wall of the passage by a magnetic force, and a step of separating the magnetic particles 5 and a solution by applying a force from the outside to move in a state that the magnetic particles 5 are flocculated near the well 11 or the side wall of the passage.
