PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the irregularity of emission brightness resulting from coupling in the turning-off of a writing transistor caused by the irregularity of a parasite capacity of the writing transistor to obtain uniform image quality without irregularity.

SOLUTION: An OFF voltage Voff of a first correction scanning signal AZ1 is determined to have two values Voff1 and Voff2. At time t6 after the end of a threshold correction period and before the start of a signal writing period, the OFF voltage Voff of the first correction scanning signal AZ1 is set to the second OFF voltage Voff2 to turn off a switching transistor 25. At the time of transition (OFF time) of a writing transistor 23 from an OFF state to an ON state or at time t10 after that, the OFF voltage Voff of the first correction scanning signal AZ1 is changed from the second OFF voltage Voff2 to the first OFF voltage Voff1.
