<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting adapter which enables an electric cylinder to be installed in a mortise lock, without twisting of a wire. <P>SOLUTION: A screw-type connecting fitting assembly D<SB>1</SB>, in which a cam bar 4, a cam bar push-out plate 5 and a cam bar return spring 6 are built into a screw-type connecting fitting, is screwed into an internal thread portion of an existing lock case of a door. A connecting plate assembly D<SB>2</SB>, in which a lock pin 7 and a lock pin return spring 8 are built into a connecting plate 3, is fixed to the electric cylinder 1 by a connecting plate fixing screw 9. A lower end protrusion of the connecting plate fixed to the electric cylinder is inserted into the square hole of the screw-type connecting fitting, and the screw is tightened into the lock case by means of a screwdriver, so that the turning of the screwed screw-type connecting fitting assembly can be stopped. The cam push-out plate is pushed by the screw; the cam bar makes a circular motion: the lock pin is lifted to be caught in the square hole of the screw-type connecting fitting; and the electric cylinder is fixed.
