<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing high-precision density control by carrying out two kinds of light amount control of a patch for density control and normal image formation between sheets. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 in which a latent image is formed by performing exposure to a photoreceptor with a light emission means, the latent image is developed and a developed image is transferred as a toner image onto a recording paper comprises control means 101, 110 which detect light amount of the light emission means, control the light amount, at the same time, form the patch in a non-transfer area on the photoreceptor which is not transferred onto the recording paper and control image forming conditions in accordance with a density detection result of the patch, wherein the control means performs light amount control for the patch formation to form the patch during a sheet-to-sheet period between an image formation period for forming an image to be transferred onto the recording sheet and an image formation period for forming an image to be transferred onto the following recording sheet and performs the light amount control for forming the image to be transferred onto the recording sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
