PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reliably allocating an address to a virtual NIC through each physical machine while avoiding overlapping, without managing an address (MAC address) group shared among a plurality of physical machines in a unitary manner. SOLUTION: In a MAC address distribution server process 122 to be executed on a management virtual machine managing other virtual machines, a MAC address allocation shared table 201 indicating a shared MAC address group and a use range of MAC addresses secured by the physical machines is managed. When newly securing a MAC address through a present physical machine or releasing a secured MAC address, the shared table 201 is updated and a MAC address is distributed to the other physical machines. Thus, information about the addresses secured (used) by the physical machines is shared. By sharing the information, overlapped address allocation to a virtual NIC is reliably avoided.
