LASER CONTROL METHOD AND LASER CONTROL CIRCUIT

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser control method and a laser control circuit stabilizing a laser output even in a high-frequency band. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The laser control circuit is used which has: a constant current circuit 3 for making constant current flowing into a semiconductor laser element 2; and an adder 33 and a multiplier 34 connected to the front stage of the constant current circuit 3. A detection means 20 for calibration is used for detecting an irradiation laser output. A reference bias value and a reference gain value used to obtain a specified laser output relative to a specified input into the multiplier 34 are obtained based on a detection signal from the detection means 20. The reference bias value is input into the adder 33, the reference gain value is input into the multiplier 34 to control the irradiation laser output from the semiconductor laser element 2 by automatic calibration.
