<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, high-performance imaging lens capable of suppressing occurrence of a ghost, preventing a reduction in ambient light amount and satisfactorily correcting various aberrations of respective lenses. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The imaging lens is constituted by arranging in order from an object side: a first lens L<SB>11</SB>having negative refractive power with a concave surface facing the object side; a second lens L<SB>12</SB>having positive refractive power; a third lens L<SB>13</SB>having positive refractive power; a fourth lens L<SB>14</SB>having negative refractive power; a fifth lens L<SB>15</SB>having positive refractive power with a convex surface facing an image surface IMG side. An aperture diaphragm STOP is disposed between the first lens L<SB>11</SB>and the second lens L<SB>12</SB>. Further, the third lens L<SB>13</SB>and the fourth lens L<SB>14</SB>are cemented together. The imaging lens satisfies prescribed conditions, accordingly, the imaging lens suppresses tan occurrence of the ghost, prevents the reduction in the ambient light amount and also, satisfactorily corrects various aberrations of the lenses, without damaging the compactness of the optical system.
