<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the conventional FM radio receiver can not decide whether the content of other broadcasting station is music or sound while listening to broadcast of a specific broadcasting station. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This FM radio receiver is provided with: an antenna 10 which receives FM modulation radio waves; an FE part 20 which outputs an IF signal from a received FM modulation signal; a quadrature detection part 30 which outputs a quadrature detection signal IQ signal from the IF signal; an FM demodulation part 40 which performs FM demodulation of the IQ signal; a stereo demodulation part 50 which performs stereo demodulation of the FM demodulation signal and output the resultant signal; a speaker part 60 which reproduces a stereo signal; a second FE part which inputs the FM-modulated signal received by the antenna 10, and converts the signal into an intermediate frequency band to output a second IF signal; a second quadrature detection part which performs quadrature detection of the second IF signal to output a second IQ signal; and a music sound decision device 70 which decides whether the content of other broadcasting station is a music signal or sound signal by utilizing the second IQ signal.
