<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out an experiment enabling a viewer to sensually recognize the increase and decrease in CO<SB>2</SB>concentration by preparing an enclosed space containing a candle and a plant wherein an experiment continuing from combustion to photosynthesis is conducted, and to carry out an interesting and impactful experiment at any place by using a compact experimental instrument which can be easily carried. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An experimental apparatus has an enclosed container 4 containing a candle 2 and a plant 3, a CO<SB>2</SB>concentration measuring device 5 for measuring the concentration of carbon dioxide, a plurality of light sources 6 irradiating the plant 3 with light, a fan 10 for candle with an air flow adjustment function for agitating the inside of the container and extinguishing the candle 2, and a fan 12 for plant for agitating the inside to make the concentration of carbon dioxide uniform.
