PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device which reduces or eliminates friction between slats, even when being affected by a secular change, dimensional tolerance and the like. SOLUTION: This shutter device includes a slat opening mechanism which opens the slats 6 by turning the slats 6 so as to form a window opening 6e. A shutter curtain 1 has a cross-sectional attitude displacement portion. Thus, the shutter curtain has the cross-sectional attitude displacement portion which displaces a cross-sectional attitude of the adjacent slat 6sc in the direction of reducing or eliminating the degree of interference caused by contact between the turning slat 6o and the adjacent slat 6sc in a cross section indicating the thickness of the slat 6, when the slats 6 are turned.
