<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll fluid machine efficiently improving heat exchanging efficiency of a refrigerating cycle by a simple and highly efficient lubricating oil circulation means. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This scroll fluid machine includes a back pressure chamber to which lubricating oil in a lubricating oil chamber is supplied for pressing a movable scroll with respect to a fixed scroll, and the lubricating oil circulation means 98 having oil chambers 104A, 104B interposed in a circulation passage 100 communicating the back pressure chamber with the lubricating oil chamber and temporarily storing the lubricating oil; a high pressure supply passage 136 for guiding high pressure side pressure of a working fluid to the oil chambers 104A, 104B, and a low pressure supply passage 140 for guiding low pressure side pressure of the working fluid to the oil chambers 104A, 104B. The lubricating oil circulation means 98 includes a pressure guiding control means for opening the low pressure supply passage 140 and closing the high pressure supply passage 136 when the lubricating oil is recovered, and when the lubricating oil is supplied, closing the low pressure supply passage 140 and opening the high pressure supply passage 136.
