<p>The temperatures detected by an intake temperature sensor, an intercooler outlet temperature sensor, and an intake manifold temperature sensor are compared while an engine is cooled, so that abnormal characteristics of the sensors are judged. A first temperature difference is obtained based on the temperature detected by the intercooler outlet temperature sensor after a boost pressure increases and the temperature detected by the intercooler outlet temperature sensor before the boost pressure increases, so that abnormal characteristics of the intercooler outlet temperature sensor are judged. A second temperature difference is obtained based on the temperature detected by the intake manifold temperature sensor and the temperature detected by the intercooler outlet temperature sensor after an EGR valve is opened, so that abnormal characteristics of the intake manifold temperature sensor are judged.</p> |
