METHOD AND SYSTEM TO PREVENT DATA LEAKAGE USING CONTENT INSPECTION BASED USB MEMORY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A method and a system to prevent data leakage based on content inspection about a USB memory device are provided to restrict storage through content analysis about data which will be stored in the USB memory, thereby blocking leakage attempt of important data fundamentally. CONSTITUTION: A USB(Universal Serial Bus) host(10) determines connection setting according to hardware information of a USB memory. The USB memory receives security keyword data for content analysis. The USB memory receives authorization of connection setting of the USB host. The USB memory accesses to data of database inside the USB host. Based on content analysis, the USB memory determines significance of the data. The USB memory restricts storage of important data.
