PURPOSE: An image sensor and a method for fabricating the same are provided to improve sensing efficiency by reducing a light interference phenomenon to a pixel due to reflecting units. CONSTITUTION: An insulating film covers a photo diode(PD). A first reflecting unit(400) is arranged on the insulating film. The first reflecting unit surrounds the circumference of the photo diode and reflects light. A second reflecting unit(600) is arranged on both side of the first reflecting unit. The second reflecting unit is an insulator.
