<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it unnecessary for a user to memorize a password by transmitting authentication information generated based on user information to a portable terminal, and acquiring the authentication information from the portable terminal, and performing the printing of a printing job. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is provided with: a registration part for registering and storing user information; a job storage part for storing a printing job received from a client terminal; an authentication information generation part for generating the authentication information based on the printing job received from the client terminal and the user information stored by the registration part; a transmission part for transmitting the authentication information generated by the authentication information generation part to the portable terminal; a reading part for reading the authentication information displayed by the portable terminal; and a printing part for printing the printing job stored in the job storage part corresponding to the authentication information read by the reading part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
