<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the conventional UI utilizing a touch pad wherein the operation input is detected only by two types, touch operation and tracing operation, so that only the discrimination of the operation contents according to a touched coordinate position and the select operation utilizing cursor moving by the tracing operation can be done in the conventional contact sensor UI. <P>SOLUTION: In order to solve the problem a surface contact sensor is utilized to thereby detect the moving speed of fingers, the number of contacts of the finger and pressing force to the sensor while discriminating a difference therein.
