<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay apparatus capable of preventing, with more simplified configuration, normal data communication from being disabled. <P>SOLUTION: Information transmitted via a first communication line and a second communication line is received by a second relay apparatus and when the same information cannot be received via both the first communication line and the second communication line, it is determined that any abnormality occurs in a first relay apparatus.
