PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for management of digital subscribers lines so as to reduce crosstalk components of a noise. SOLUTION: The noise is measured on a first digital subscribers line (700) and separated into a crosstalk component and an electromagnetic interference (EMI) component (710). A type of crosstalk disturber that generates the crosstalk component of the noise is identified (720), and whether or not the crosstalk component of the noise has deteriorated the DSL service on the first digital subscribers line (730) is determined. When the DSL service has been deteriorated by the crosstalk component of the noise, the system uses the identity of the crosstalk disturber partially based on the type of the crosstalk disturber generated by the crosstalk component of the noise (735) and lowers the power for transmitting the identified crosstalk disturber so as to reduce the crosstalk component of the noise (740).
