PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of controlling classification of density unevenness of an output image. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a photoreceptor; a charging means which charges the photoreceptor; a latent image forming means which forms a latent image on the photoreceptor charged by the charging means; a developing means which develops the photoreceptor having the latent image formed thereon by the latent image forming means, by a developer; a recording medium supply means which supplies a recording medium to the photoreceptor; a transfer means which transfers the developer on the photoreceptor developed by the developing means, to the recording medium supplied by the recording medium supply means; and a control means which controls the latent image forming means and the recording medium supply means so that the number of reference positions as the reference for image formation is varied within a peripheral length of the photoreceptor.
