PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope for light-scanning an observation object so as to provide various images for observation usable for diagnosis by effective use of pixel data. SOLUTION: The endoscope system can spirally scan illumination light at a specific sampling rate. In a two-screen display mode, white light and excitation light are alternately irradiated for a scan area N1. For other scan areas, white light is irradiated.
