Disclosed is a method for refining dicyclopentadiene, which is characterized by removing a C5 fraction and a BTX fraction from a reaction product produced by a dimerization reaction of a cracked gasoline that is a by-product in an ethylene plant utilizing a C2 fraction, a C3 fraction and a C4 fraction as raw materials to thereby produce a dicyclopentadiene-containing crude dicyclopentadiene fraction, and distilling the crude dicyclopentadiene fraction to isolate and collect dicyclopentadiene from the crude dicyclopentadiene fraction. Also disclosed is a method for refining dicyclopentadiene, which is characterized by contacting a distilled and refined dicyclopentadiene-containing fraction with an inert gas or a C1-3 hydrocarbon gas. |
