The device has two jaws (1, 2) provided with a set of arms (7,11). Clamping wedges (15) are positioned at the arms in a clamping position of the jaws, when the wedges are in tensioning position. The jaws possess abutment areas (10,14) at free ends (9, 13) of another set of arms (8,12), where the areas are turned towards a side (18) of the wedge. The side of the wedges and the areas are positioned at respective sections of a scaffold component, when the jaws are in the clamping position, the wedges are in the tensioning position and the sections are accommodated in a mouth between the jaws.
