PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the blur feeling generated in a liquid crystal display panel without complication or cost rise of the device.

SOLUTION: The display device comprises a filter 50 for applying a filter process to a character for reducing blur according to a moving speed Mv designated by a speed designating part 40, an image data output circuit 60 for producing image data with the character subjected to the filter process and moved by the moving speed Mv for every one frame period, and a display panel 100 for a display according to the image data.
