PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for automatically and rigorously proving the veracity of digital signature time-stamps without relying on the trustworthiness of the institution or individuals administrating a digital notary service. SOLUTION: Irrefutable public key digital signature time-stamps are created, and are used based upon the concept of transient secret cryptographic keys 2010 which exists only during specific time intervals. Namely, the transient time interval secret keys are used for digital certification 2030 of data submitted during specific time intervals, and then permanently destroyed 2040 immediately after specific time intervals end. The validity of public keys is ensured through the certification of each time interval's public key by the previous time interval's secret key, and then the secret key is destroyed immediately.
