摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and precisely detect occurrence of water leak in a sodium heating steam generator by clearly separating water leak sound to be detected from background noise. Ž<P>SOLUTION: On an outside wall of a vessel body part 10 of the sodium heating steam generator, five or more accelerometers 24 are aligned in a single line to form an acoustic data receiving array 20, acoustic signals detected by the respective accelerometers are taken in a computer 32 through a multichannel analog/digital converter 30, and delay summing beam forming processing is carried out in the computer. In this way, a value giving a maximum acoustic data receiving array output is found to be used as a maximum acoustic detection value, while an acoustic data receiving array output previously found in a similar manner as to steam generator operation noise in a normal operation period is used as background noise, and by comparing the maximum sound detection value with the background noise, it is determined that water leak occurs when there is a significant difference between them.
