A lighting system has a set of module holders (9) for receiving lighting modules (7) and connection with the carrier network. The module holders are fixed to the node areas that are formed by connections at the non-intersecting wire sections. The node areas are formed by wire clamps with a one-piece clamp body that forms a U-profile with clamp arms in an initial condition.
