The pulley (7) has a hub (12), a belt pulley ring (13) that comprises a peripheral groove (10) for a belt of a belt drive, and a torsional vibration damper (16). A free belt pulley clutch (15) is arranged between the hub and the belt pulley ring. The belt pulley ring drives the hub, when the free belt pulley clutch is in a closed state. The free belt pulley clutch is opened, when the belt pulley ring is overhauled by the hub. The free belt pulley clutch has a set of spring loaded clamping bodies that are arranged between the hub and the belt pulley ring.
