LASER WELDING METHOD FOR VALVE PARTS

PURPOSE: A laser welding method for valve parts is provided to accomplish complete penetration of a welding portion and reduce welding failure by restricting the surface energy density of laser beam during welding. CONSTITUTION: A laser welding method for valve parts is as follows. Perpendicular laser beam is projected onto a welding portion of a valve part. The temperature of the valve part at a distance of 5mm from the welding portion is restricted less than 0.5 times of the melting temperature of a valve body. The ratio of the rear bead width to the surface bead width formed by welding is limited less than 5.0.
