PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner and the like achieving both of good developability and transfer property. SOLUTION: The toner contains a binder resin and a colorant and has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of not lower than 50°C. In a dispersion liquid prepared by dispersing the toner in an aqueous medium at 30°C, the amount of sodium ions is not more than 100 ppm; and in a dispersion liquid prepared by dispersing the toner in an aqueous medium at a temperature of the glass transition temperature (Tg)+10°C, the amount of sodium ions is from 800 ppm to 20,000 ppm.
