PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly economical immersion detection sensor capable of easily confirming the intrusion of water to a closure or a manhole in site. SOLUTION: The immersion detection sensor 2 includes a pair of conducting wires 3, a sensing section 21 comprising electrodes attached ends of the individual conducting wires 3, respectively, and kept in a non-contact state with each other, and terminals 4 attached to the outside of a closure sleeve 11 of the closure 1 in an exposed manner and connected to ends of the pair of conducting wires 3 coming from the sensing section 21.
