摘要 <p>In a battery charger, a rectifying unit is configured from rectifier elements corresponding to the individual phases. A current for charging a battery is supplied to each phase by rectifying a three-phase alternating-current voltage. A voltage detection unit detects whether or not the battery is charged and is provided for each rectifying element. When the voltage detection unit is off, the alternating-current voltage is rectified and the battery is charged. When detection signals indicating that gate signals to turn the switch unit for each phase on or off have all been supplied in phase order is obtained, a switch control unit outputs a gate signal corresponding to zero-cross timing. Meanwhile, when detection signals indicating that the gate signals for each phase have not all been supplied in phase order is obtained, the switch control unit outputs gate signals to the switch units in synchronization with the detection signals, producing short circuiting.</p>
