The plug (1) has two clamping jaws (2, 3) i.e. resembling parts, pivoted transverse to an insertion direction (E) or relative to each other, and contact holders (4, 5) for holding a springy contact element (6) and formed by the jaws. The contact holders are overlaid on a contact carrier using contacting force. A spring unit (8) produces clamping force independent of the contacting force. The jaws are formed as independent components that are connected with each other by a swivel joint (15) formed as a locking connection. Each independent component is made of plastic. An independent claim is also included for a contacting connection comprising a contacting plug inserted into a contacting plug receiver assigned to a contact holder.
