PURPOSE: A humanized antibody to vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) is provided to suppress mitogenic signaling and tumor growth. CONSTITUTION: A humanized antibody to vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) is an antibody fragment of Fab, Fab1, F(ab1)2, or Fv. The humanized antibody is manufactured using mutated antibody and phage monovalent surface expressing system. A composition suppressing tumor growth contains the humanized antibody to VEGF. An antigen binding-fragment and remaining "Fc" fragment is prepared by cutting the antibody with papain. The F(ab1)2 fragment is prepared by cutting antibody with a pepsin.
