<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly hold a toner amount carried on the surface of a developing roller in correction due to modification of developing bias. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a developing device 71 provided with a photoreceptor drum 37, the developing roller 72, and a voltage application part 80 for applying a developing bias voltage on the developing roller 72; and a control part 100 for controlling the voltage application part 80. The developing device 71 flies the toner conveyed with the developing roller 72 on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 37 and exhibits electrostatic latent images previously formed on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 37 as toner images by allowing the voltage application part 80 to apply a developing bias voltage on the developing roller 72. The control part 100 controls so as to include a first period allowing the developing bias voltage to apply a superposition voltage superposing an alternating current voltage of a rectangular waveform on a direct current voltage and a second period applying only the direct current voltage, and changeably controls a frequency of the alternating current voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
