PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a data reception device which can select an appropriate provider when acquiring data via a network.

SOLUTION: A data reception device 10 which can select the provider for connecting with the network among a plurality of providers in order to receive data from websites 401, 402 via the network includes a required provider condition information acquisition unit 28 for acquiring required provider condition information indicating the condition required for the provider to receive the data, a provider information acquisition unit 24 for acquiring provider information that shows the provider to which the own device can be connected and the characteristic of the provider, and a provider extraction unit 22 for extracting the provider having the characteristic that satisfies the condition shown by the required provider condition information based on the provider information acquired by the provider information acquisition unit 24.
